The ‘Sweet’ soul & ‘Creative’ force behind Benkah.
Sneha’s love for baking runs deep, rooted in the cherished memories of growing up in a household where birthdays were always marked by ‘Mom’s Amazing Cakes.’ Determined to carry on this family tradition, she began baking for her own children’s birthdays, infusing each celebration with the same warmth and joy she experienced as a child.
It all began in 2013, when she baked her son’s first birthday cake and designed the party décor by hand. Her creativity was an instant hit. Friends and family encouraged her to turn her talents into a business, but Sneha wasn’t ready to commercialize her passion just yet. For her, baking and crafting were acts of love, not business ventures.
Fast forward to 2016. While preparing for her daughter’s first birthday, Sneha realized there was a void in the market for truly unique, bespoke party décor for children. The compliments from her guests and her own realization of the gap in the industry sparked something deeper. She felt this could be her calling.
Balancing her role as Chief Storyteller at a design firm in Hong Kong, Sneha launched Benkah, initially catering to close friends and family. What started small quickly grew, and before long, Benkah found its niche. Now based in Bangkok, Benkah continues to flourish, six years later, driven by Sneha’s unwavering love for creation, no matter how demanding life gets.
At Benkah, every cake tells a story, crafted with the same care her mother put into baking. There are no additives or preservatives—just simple, natural ingredients that allow the flavors and designs to shine.
“For me, the true essence of a cake lies in its simplicity,” says Sneha. “The flavors and design should speak for themselves, without being masked by excessive sweetness or artificial elements.”
